Liftstations
Lift stations are employed for lifting and pumping different types of waste water to specific treatment plants or directly to the drain.
They are made up of:
- a concrete collection chamber adequately sized according to incoming flow
- two submersible stainless steel or cast iron pumps
- an electrical panel including an acoustic alarm module with LED warning light, to be installed in a monitored area
- tubes, floats, valves, and level probes if needed
The two alternating pumps guarantee system continuous operation even in the event one breaks down.
The system is also used for equalizing industrial waste water: flow and load are uniformed before being directed to the sewage treatment plant the station is hooked on to.
The pumps may be grinder or corpo libero type, according to incoming waste water and to result to be achieved.
